Artz, Dewhirst & Wheeler, LLP offers arbitration services to courts, businesses, insurance companies and individuals. Arbitration involves a neutral third party called an arbitrator who conducts an informal hearing and then issues a decision. There are many forms of arbitration, however private binding arbitration and court-connect non-binding arbitration are the most common forms. In private arbitrations, the parties make decisions regarding the rules, length, location and authority of the arbitrator prior to the commencement of the arbitration. Court-connected arbitrations are governed by the local rules of the court. Arbitration can be a viable alternative to the complicated, time consuming and costly aspects of the traditional trial process.
